Our clients saw the potential to build their forever home within a large rural plot which offers fabulous views towards the Roundway Hills. Whilst living in the existing Woolaway bungalow, our clients set about building their new eco home, constructing much of it themselves. In order to achieve the highest of SAP ratings, we were asked to produce traditional style casement wooden windows and doors with optimum energy efficiency and performance. The vertically boarded panels in all doors hold insulated cores with symmetrical boarding used both sides. All were supplied pre hung in their frames with high security multipoint locking systems fitted. The windows were glazed with 24mm A rated double glazing and furnished with lockable fasteners and stays. Larch cladding, rich in colour and texture was used to provide an attractive & durable external finish to the property. All joinery was opted to be pre-paint finished to match F&B Teresa’s Green, which sits brilliantly well within the contrasts of the larch and bricks. A solid European Oak staircase was installed to compliment the farmhouse style interior finish. Many thanks go to Jim and Geraldine for using us on their project and we wish them all the best in completing the final phase of their rural home.
