The original part of this detached Victorian villa was built in 1872 and has now been restored and extended into a stunning
six bedroom residence providing superb family accommodation of around 4,000 sq.ft over
three floors. The brief from our clients was to supply a joinery package which in design complimented the facade of the existing house and helped to tie in the new extension. Hardwood casement and sliding sash windows were all supplied and fitted to give the building character and kerb appeal appropriate to the period design of the house. Large hardwood doors with multipoint locking systems were opted for in the main bedroom and downstairs drawing room. Special attention was given to the design of the vaulted glazed link frames which really give the property that wow factor. Using thermally efficient large A rated double glazing makes sure this part of the build is not susceptible of leaking precious warmth from the main house. Internally, our cut string staircase with simple patterned stair components and Oak handrail give a stylish way to travel between each floor of this beautiful family home. All joinery was meticulously finished in our preferred waterborne microporous paint system. Soft pastel colour palettes were opted for both the render and external joinery to give a contemporary finish to this traditional style property. We really enjoyed being part of this fantastic transformation and feel proud of the results our joinery has achieved.
