The Old Vicarage is an attractive property, believed to date from 1870, set in an area of natural outstanding beauty and conservation area. When considering the style of the replacement windows and doors, our clients opted to replicate the existing joinery as closely as possible. The tired single glazed frames were replaced with newly created Sapele hardwood items, all with special detailing and mouldings and high performing A rated double glazing fitted by an independent glazing firm. Two large sectioned bay windows were re-established to first floor bedrooms, each being meticulously site surveyed prior to manufacturing as forming the correct bay angles to the existing brickwork was paramount. A large feature casement screen to the landing was installed to create a beautiful natural source of light. Further bay windows were installed to the ground floor principal rooms, with traditional sliding sash windows and an inviting front porch frame installed to compliment this beautiful family home. All joinery was detailed with traditional Frank Allart furniture sourced by our clients.
